........erm............hi.........hello!

Well, yes, I am still about. When I say I'm still about, what I actually mean is that I'm here, on the computer, in the house, doing anything but keeping fit! Its cold, nagging sister has abandoned me to my own devices, New Recruit has issues, baby sitting issues. which leaves me trying to rally round the other two people who said they wanted to come along jogging.

Its hard! Its difficult! Its cold. I have no goal at the moment, (well my goal is to stay fit and healthy) but you know what I mean, there is not fun run to join in.

I did do a sponsored walk for my church, only four times walking round the park with members of our congregation. (It had to be a walk as they are all shall we say over well over 21 years old.)

One of the spectators did bring their grandchild along, and as this little fella wanted to jog along I suggested that he jogged besides me, 'We can pass all the others' I said encouragingly to the little fella. 'You just tell me when you want to stop jogging and stat walking.' thinking all the while to myself that the little fella is not going to want to jog the whole way, even on one lap of the park. Little did I know! I asked the little fella if if wanted to walk for a while, but he was quite happy to jog along besides me. It was a warm day when we did our walk, way back in September 27th, and it was a really gloriously warm sunny day! 'I want to catch up with that lady there' said the little fella, now bearing in mind we are on lap three now and I was already sweating like the proverbial, and now the little fella wants to catch up to "that lady". Well "that lady" was Doc, she is about 120 years old, bless her, and was having no problem at all doing the rounds of the park..........in her electric buggy. I swear she had it going at full pelt along the path, I thought those things were only supposed to go at walking pace! But there you go, the little fella wanted to catch up, and so there we were running after the ancient one in her buggy doing full pelt, in the hot sunshine, on our last lap!

I suppose you can imagine, that I did quite make it up to the ancient one, but the little fella did! No problems for him! didn't even have cute rosy cheeks after! Unlike me, Rosy cheeks I had, but as for the looking cute, definitely not!! I think all together (by the way there was only five or six walkers) we made around 200 pounds for our garden at the back of our church. So another worthy cause and a reason for getting fit.

Nagging sister and I did have another session out jogging, but it really was only one. and as for the bike riding, Well, it is cold. best put it away for the winter, and start again in the spring!

I wonder if there is anyway I could go to keep fit, and it doesn't cost any money, and its nice a warm? mmm answers at the end please!
